We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit
organization; serving the animals and people of Monroe
County. All positions are volunteer. We receive
no monetary support from state, federal or local entities.
All the money that we obtain is through holding
fundraisers, community support, memberships fees, and grants
which goes directly back into the shelter to pay for
food, high medical expenses for the animals, shelter
up-keep and utilities. Donations made to national animal
welfare groups do not benefit our local pets. Our work
is made possible by the generosity of our community and people who
care.
We are committed to the general welfare, sheltering and
placement of animals, prevention of cruelty to animals, animal
overpopulation, and education concerning humane treatment of all
living creatures.
